D Will

D Will (they/she) is a fourth-year English & Creative Writing and Screenwriting Arts double major at the University of Iowa. They are originally from Detroit, Michigan. They are the author of the chapbook Send My Regards to Corporate Pie, a recipient of the 7th annual Iowa Chapbook Prize. They are the only undergraduate to have received the award as a first-year. They are the writer and director of the short film Granny’s Kinky Sex Book, which received the Audience Pick award at Iowa City’s 2024 Open Screen film festival. During the summer of 2025, they were an intern at Curate, a talent management agency based out of Los Angeles, California. D Will has been published in various collegiate literary journals including Fools, snapshots, Boundless, and Spires. They are the Design Editor of Orlando Literary Magazine, the University of Iowa’s only literary magazine dedicated to queer stories. They are currently the president of The Doily Allergen, a satire newspaper at the University of Iowa. They have had essays and short stories featured on Midwestern Citizen.
